I originally created JumpStart as a personal project to help me automate the various manual processes I have to do for every site I launch. Things like creating my Privacy Policy page, About Us and Contact Us, setting up my site theme and configuring site defaults. Here’s what JumpStart does when installed and activated:

1. Applies all your default settings to the site including setting permalinks for SEO, enabling search engine access, assigning your default template selection, setting up Adsense, inserting Google webmaster verification tag, applying custom CSS setttings, inserting custom menu options, and lots more stuff you never have to do again the old way.
2. Creates your main product post and makes it sticky. All you have to do is add content in WordPress and publish.
3. Creates your static site pages including About Us, Contact Us and Privacy Policy. All of which are loaded from the contents of simple .html source files which you can edit). You can also add additional pages if you choose (Terms of Service, FTC Disclaimer, etc).

The jumpstart folder contains 9 tiny little text files that store all of your default site content. These files are loaded into the JumpStart sequence upon activation and allow you to easily leverage the powerful site automation that this plugin provides. Here is a list of the files along with a brief description of their purpose

1. jumpstart.php – This file contains all your default settings. The order of the items matches the order in which each option appears in theme options. 2. privacy-policy.html – This file allows you to create a custom Privacy Policy Page. You can edit its contents to match your desired privacy policy content
3. custom_css_code.css – This file contains your custom css settings and its contents will be imported into the site’s “Custom CSS Code” block
4. custom_footer_ code.html – This file contains your custom hidden footer code. For example, you can place your website stats tracking code here, or Google Analytics.
5. custom_footer_visible_code.html – This file contains your custom visible footer code. For example, you can place an FTC disclaimer or copyright notice
6. custom_image_code.html – This file contains your custom image code. The contents of this file will be imported into the site’s “Custom Image Code” block. This is especially handy for using affiliate images with links or image carousels.
7. google_adsense_code.html – You place your Google Adsense Code here, Jumpstart does the rest.
8. google_webmaster_metatag.html – This file contains your Google Webmaster Site Verification Tag. The contents of this file will be imported into the site’s Google Webmaster Meta Tag setting and automatically assigned to the header section of your home page following Google’s guidelines. Another huge time saver vs the old manual method.
9. main_post_content.html – This file contains your main post content. Jumpstart inserts it, replacing any site specific tags you’ve tagged it with, publishes it, and makes it sticky with the title matching the main keyword phrase.

Man, I gotta tell you…this CE3 and Jumpstart are absolutely awesome.

When I first used Jumpstart, I saw the advatage, but I was still wasting time editing and then having to create a new Jumpstart.zip for each site. Today, I put up a site and just used the original files. I didn’t realize that Jumpstart filled in all the blanks for me…duh. Absolutely Awesome!

Pretty Amazing
It literally takes about 2-3 minutes to create a site.

First, read the instructions. I know we’re all rocket scientists, but even they have to read the instructions once in a while.

Second, edit the jumpstart files.

Third, upload the plugin.

Fourth, well there isn’t a fourth because you’re done.

CB has made this about as simple as it can be and it will save you a ton of time. I personally endorse this after one use.

It is that fast and it is that easy.

Make sure all of you modify the file content at intervals to reduce your footprints.

I just set up the jumpstart. Used it. It’s great. So fast.

I bought jumpstart and found it halved the time to set up a site and halved the boredom too. For example I timed my self setting up a site from scratch.

Took 5 minutes. Was 10 minutes before jump start. Time includes checking everything is working correctly. You could realistically do 10 sites an hour with jump start. It also made it a nicer experience not having to do every step. I found I could do 2 to 3 times as many sites before having a break.
