I’ve run into this situation countless times. You need to know the background image that’s being used on a page, but it’s under a link element. Well, our friend James Booker has created a Firefox plug in that remedies this little annoyance!
Install this plug-in and it adds a “View Link Background Image” item to the context menu whenever you right click on a link that contains a background image.
